Nicole Richie Is Pregnant!
After several weeks of Nicole Richie hiding her stomach from photographers, the is-she-or-isn’t-she-rumors can be put to rest: Us has confirmed via multiple sources that Richie is more than 12 weeks pregnant with her and boyfriend Joel Madden’s first child.
“She is extremely excited right now,” a source close to the star tells Us.
Richie, 25, shared the good news with her mom Brenda, and close friends like Mischa Barton, in early May, adds the Richie pal, after a pregnancy test came up positive.
And the pregnancy isn’t the only cause for celebration.
A source says Madden, 28, along with a few friends and his twin brother Benji, recently went shopping for an engagement ring.
And the twins’ older brother Josh Madden tells Us, “Nicole is awesome. I would love for them to get married!”
Both families are thrilled about the couple’s baby joy: “Everyone’s happy, everyone’s good, everyone’s getting along” a source tells Us.
But Nicole can’t hide her bump forever. The Simple Life star is due in court on July 11 to answer DUI charges stemming from her December 2006 arrest. If found guilty, she faces 90 days to one year in jail because of a previous DUI conviction in 2003.

Nicole Richie Pregnancy Rumors
Nicole Richie is pregnant with her first child, according to reports in the U.S.
Prompted by pictures of the skinny star with a bloated belly, a number of magazines are claiming medical tests have proved The Simple Life star is expecting a baby with her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden.
Late last month she was photographed at a reproductive clinic and a report in Life and Style magazine claims blood and urine tests “confirmed she is pregnant“.
An “insider” tells the magazine, “Nicole’s determined to get healthy for her own sake and the baby’s.”
A representative for the star has refused to comment on the allegations.

I really didn’t expect that much of a change since she was treated for dehydration last month and it was reported that she fainted twice on the set of The Simple Life. To be honest, Nicole Richie looks so much better now than last year but she still need to gain like 10 pounds.

Nicole Richie’s Stupid Excuses
Nicole Richie has blamed her recent collapses on the set of ‘The Simple Life’ on high altitude.
The 25-year-old star - who was hospitalised for dehydration earlier this month and allegedly collapsed again on the set of her reality show two weeks ago - claims working in the mountains has put a strain on her health.
Her admission comes just a week after low blood sugar levels were blamed for her problems and it was announced she had been diagnosed with hypoglycaemia.
“The hours I’m doing are really crazy right now and we’re working up in the mountains.
“I was getting my hair and make-up done one morning and I turned the heat up to 90 degrees, which I know I probably shouldn’t have done - but I like it really hot in the room.
“I hadn’t eaten breakfast and I asked for a bowl of cereal. But it had to go through 15 people to even get to me. I walked outside and I wasn’t feeling myself.”

Hilary Duff’s First Run into Ex Boyfriend Joel Madden
“I just did TRL today and Joel was there, and it was the first time we’d seen each other and it was so, like, nerve-racking,” Duff, 19, told PEOPLE Monday at the 18th annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City. “I knew that he was going to be there and he knew. It is what it is.”
But Duff, who dated Madden, 28, for nearly two and a half years, was realistic about the situation. “I mean, what am I going to do?” she said. “It’s life.”
Since their breakup, Madden has been dating Nicole Richie, 25, and Duff has been single (something she’s called “kind of exciting”). Still, Duff told Ryan Seacrest in January that she and her ex keep in touch and have “a great relationship.”
So was their run-in awkward? “It was a little strange at first, but I wish nothing but good for him and I know that he wishes the same for me,” Duff told PEOPLE. “I’m happy and he’s happy and I think that’s all that counts.”
